Synaptic Science was formed around the Seurat discovery platform developed and used internally at Celera Genomics on all of its small molecule programs between August 2003 and January 2006. When Celera made the strategic decision to exit the small molecule business in order to focus all of its energy on its diagnostic and large molecule programs the original 6 members of the Celera Rockville computational chemistry team formed Synaptic Science LLC.
Synaptic Science is now applying the lessons learned by Celera's scientists to the problems faced by the wider life sciences market through the commercialization of the field developed and tested Seurat platform. |
